Michelle Ward received her Ph.D. in Clinical Neuroscience (Psychology) from the University of Southern California. She has an extensive background in multivariate statistical analysis and she specializes in merging qualitative and quantitative jury research. She has published several articles using structural equation modeling to identify and quantify influences on complex human behavior and has taught undergraduate courses in statistics, research methodology and psychology.
Dr. Ward has specialized in complex intellectual property, product liability, antitrust, environmental, and commercial litigation. Her expertise also includes the study of psycho-physiological responses to various stimuli, which is a useful tool for understanding how jurors react physically and psychologically to evidence, testimony, and attorney arguments.
She has presented papers at various national conferences and has received several prestigious awards from the National Institute of Mental Health. She has also appeared as a commentator on high profile trials and is currently developing and hosting new original programming for Court TV.
